If you're not logged into freesound, you won't be able to upload files! This page is just here so you can learn how the upload works...

How to add files to this site...

1. Upload files:

  • Use the FTP applet to upload files.
  • Remember, only upload LEGAL SOUNDS, not songs, or copyrighted material!
  • We support wave, aiff, ogg vorbis, flac and mp3 files, but we really prefer wav and aiff ;-)
  • If you are a geek (like us) and know how FTP works, you can use any other FTP client and connect to ftp://freesound.iua.upf.edu/ with your regular freesound username and password.

2. Describe the files you uploaded:

To describe the files you uploaded go to the management page

3. Be patient!!

After describing your files they will be placed in a 'moderation' cueue. This means that a moderator will look at your file before it will apear on the site... Be patient, it might take a while. When the file is added, you will be notified by email.
